Police determine weekend assault was a false report
Boulder police are no longer looking for a black male suspect in connection with an attack that was reported to have occurred early Sunday morning (Jan. 22) in the 1100 block of University Ave. just after midnight. The female who reported the crime told police she had been grabbed from behind and that she fought off her attacker before running away. The 20-year-old claimed that her attacker had a knife and had cut her forearm before she freed herself and fled.
Detectives have determined that the crime reported did not occur.
